Product Handling: Receive, inspect, and store incoming produce shipments, ensuring freshness and quality.
Stocking and Rotation: Display and arrange produce items on shelves or in refrigerated cases, rotating stock to maintain freshness and minimize waste.
Customer Assistance: Greet and assist customers in selecting produce items, answering questions, and providing recommendations.
Quality Control: Inspect produce items regularly, removing any damaged, spoiled, or expired products promptly.
Cleaning and Sanitation: Maintain cleanliness and organization in the produce department, including cleaning display areas, shelves, and equipment.
Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring inventory levels, notifying the Produce Department Manager of low stock items, and participating in inventory counts.
Pricing and Labeling: Assist in pricing and labeling produce items accurately, ensuring compliance with pricing guidelines and food safety regulations.
Collaboration: Work closely with the Produce Department Manager and other team members to ensure efficient operations, effective communication, and teamwork within the produce department.
Health and Safety Compliance: Follow health and safety regulations, including proper produce handling, personal hygiene, and cleaning procedures.
Additional Tasks: Perform other duties as assigned by the Produce Department Leader to support the overall operation of the produce department.
