Cashiering:
Efficiently process customer purchases, scan products, and handle cash or card transactions accurately.
Greet customers warmly, assist with bagging groceries, and provide a friendly checkout experience.
Ensure proper use of promotional offers, discounts, and loyalty programs.
Bagging and Stocking:
Bag groceries carefully to prevent damage to items and assist customers with loading bags into their vehicles if needed.
Restock front-end merchandise, including shopping bags, receipt paper, and other supplies.
Assist in restocking impulse items near checkout lanes.
Cleaning and Maintenance:
Keep checkout lanes, cashier stations, and surrounding areas clean and tidy.
Empty trash bins regularly and maintain cleanliness of the front-end area.
Wipe down and sanitize surfaces, such as conveyor belts and payment terminals.
Customer Service Desk:
Assist customers with inquiries, product returns, exchanges, and resolving any issues or complaints in a courteous manner.
Process customer requests for price checks, rain checks, and other service-related inquiries.
Manage customer service phone calls and redirect calls to the appropriate departments.
Front-End Support:
Collaborate with Front-End Manager and other associates to maintain smooth front-end operations.
Provide backup support to cashiers during busy periods and ensure efficient queue management.
Alert the Front-End Manager of any technical issues with the point-of-sale system or equipment.
Health and Safety Compliance:
Follow health and safety protocols, including wearing personal protective equipment as required.
Comply with sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe and hygienic front-end environment.
Customer Interaction:
Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, assisting with general inquiries and providing a positive shopping experience.
Handle customer feedback with empathy and escalate complex issues to the Front-End Department Leader.
